BOOM! Those are great numbers. They are consoles sold, not just shipped.
This will likely cement the PS4 as the lead development platform.
Wow. Some fanboys people will resort to any dirty trick articles to try and paint Sony as doing the equivalent of always on DRM.
I read last week that the Wii U has outsold lifetime sales of the 360, a console that has been on sale for about EIGHT years. This means the Xbox brand is not gelling with consumers in Japan. Remember last gen the 360 launched before the PS3 which gave it some advantages, this time the PS4 has launched first. Also the Xbone is a big console and the new Kinect is a big camera and the Japanese prefer them small. I suspect the Xbone in Japan will remain a niche machine.
*Wednesday is the traditional release day for games in mainland Europe.
* Friday is the traditional release day for games in the UK.
The exception being titles that have a worldwide release day shared with North America.
Polygon writers were all chosen for their allegiance to a certain console brand.
But the relationship is too incestuous, just last week Brian Crecente opened an article about Twitch on Xbox by celebrating how PlayStation Twitch is an inferior service (it's ok to say that after the Xbox launch when the service is available). In return Microsoft tweeted praising Crecente's bent article!
Don't forget the rumours that don't die that Polygon acts as '...
I wouldn't mind an Assasin's Creed Lego game.
I absolutely believe it is relevant to post Unity stories here.
Some N4G readers who are interested in reading about games go on to try making their own games after being inspired to create their own experiences. There are entry level packages for junior programmers to use Unity. And game creation is part of the wider culture of gaming.
In response to the superior games given away with PlayStation Plus many multi-format console owners have been letting their LIVE subscriptions drop.
24 month subscription is a necessary measure for Microsoft to lock-in their loyal customers.
This won't be a Halo. The reason they are hype talking the 'character driven story' is so that people forget this is an online only game because the single player campaign was dropped after Xbone DRM was removed.
Microsoft praising a Polygon article, I wonder why...
Microsoft are concerned? Yeah, they're concerned that the consumers have found out.
American companies cooperate with the NSA because in return they can be rewarded with favourable trading decisions. But IF this is true, and remember Edward Snowden's info up until now has all been regarded as classified but true, then this is a betrayal of consumer trust.
And Microsoft are the company with the 'Scroogled' ad campaign against Google just becau...
Jeff Bezos would love to get his hands on Xbox.
IS LENS OF TRUTH BIAS?
RudeSole Devil says "I like the Xbox 360 version better." His profile reveals he has submitted news for one and only one website called... Lens of Truth.
Wait until the first multi-platform in which the Xbone performs better and you will see them back to their old tricks. Comparing and crowing and doing all their fanboy stuff again. That's why they don't have my respect.
"Explaining the decision to make both the Xbox One and PS4 versions output in 1080p, Airtight Games chief creative officer Matt Brunner said, "We're trying to keep a consistency across all the platforms." "
Please don't tell me they were money-hatted to give 'parity' and turned down the graphic effects of one version?
THIS IS THE FUNNIEST THING EVER!
Lens of Truth the bastion of Xbox 360, always comparing last-gen games and saying how the PS3 was always the worst (which in many cases it was). Even emphasising the superior aspects of Final Fantasy XIII on 360. But any minuscule difference on PS3 and they threw a parade for the Xbox 360!
Now in this new generation of PS4 & Xbone when every multiplatform game has been shown to look and run better or significantly better on the PS4...
I'm buying it!
You can't fault Bungie's game-making pedigree. What I love about the first three Halo games is that they are so easy to pick up and play yet take time to become really good at which is a sign of deep design. I won't know how this persistent world will be to play in but it looks good, I just want there to be some single player elements too. Activision's money means there is no skimping on the development budget which gives Bungie no excuses ...
Holy sh..sugar. Why hasn't Polygon been banned on N4G yet? They are part of the 'Dark PR' initiative so their whole website is bias in what it reports and how it reports.
I get the feeling that March was going to be the actual launch date for the Xbox One but was released earlier so as not to lose traction to the PS4.
Obviously I don't know this, but the fact that key features of the system software such as parties and Twitch integration, and European TV picture stability have been missing but come in the update and paints a very interesting picture. An Xbone launching with Titanfall would have been a killer move. So yeah, this does seem l...
